Full Moon in Cancer
First up, we are in Mercury retrograde until the middle of February, so expect all the usual communication snafus and tech problems, delays, rescheduling etc. Use the time to catch up with whatever is outstanding and take some time out to catch up with friends as well as yourself.
This Full Wolf Moon is in home-loving Cancer and is the culmination of the previous four weeks. Cancer is a water sign, emotions rise to the surface more during Full Moons plus the watery influences of Cancer, so you may be feeling a bit wobbly for a few days. This is good, as it’s a sign that you are ready to heal something that has been buried for a while. If you are a water sign, you may be feeling this more than others.
This Full Moon says ‘you have to let the past go.’ Are you still holding onto old resentments and what happened back then? Have you refused to forgive? Then it’s time to do some healing around that and Chiron (planet of the Wounded Healer) is here to help you do that. The planetary aspects of this Full Moon season will also shine light on your shadow side, something needs to be faced and healed. Full Moons are about releasing and letting go, it’s time.
As the Full Moon is in Cancer, home is the best place to be for the next few weeks. There could be some curveballs so be prepared for the unexpected. When out and about be aware, not just because of covid but also because the energies will be affecting people in different ways. Those less enlightened will become reactive and you don’t want to be in their firing line. It’s time to unite not divide, not just as individuals/communities, but also as a nation, we need to stand firm and make it known what we will and won’t put up with.
There is a sense of destiny calling us. It’s the Wolf Moon and Wolves are the pathfinders, the trail finders, so tune into Wolf medicine and ask to be guided in the right direction. This direction may well come about naturally as you find yourself instinctively drawn towards certain people or places that you may not have thought about before.
The key to this Full Moon is:
- Not to resist the healing that needs to happen; dive into those emotions so that they can be healed and released.
- Be patient with yourself, others and life. Part of you is longing to move forward with speed yet it’s not quite the right time, just a little more healing needed – and the right information that you may also need.
- Have you given your power away recently? It’s time to claim it back. You have a destiny that needs to be fulfilled, but you have to make it happen, you cannot wait for anyone else to do that for you and you don’t need anyone’s permission.
- Do water rituals, have a nice deep bath, visit water, drink water and flush out any stress toxins that may have built up.
- If you feel sad or there is a heaviness you can’t shift, journal it – write your feelings down until you can’t write anymore. Have a break, then come back and write about the future you truly want, in lots of detail.
- For the next few days snuggle down at home with family and nurture yourself.
- A good time too to clear clutter and start spring-cleaning your home, as Cancerians love their home, they enjoy clear spaces so that the energy can flow better around it.
- When things around you feel uncertain, go for a walk, ground the energy, you can be certain that Mother Nature is always there for you.
Give yourselves time over the next few days and then things will settle again.
Full Moon Blessings to y’all!
Elly xx
