NEW MOON IN LEO
Leo is a flamboyant, confident sign and loves to show off. Leo encourages us to stop hiding and to show ourselves off, as the world needs us all to shine in our own unique self-expression. With three planets in Leo, make time for fun, creativity and family.
The New Moon is square Uranus (The Awakener) so there could be some kind of shake up, break up or wake up. If something has been feeling off for a while, it will come to a head and it will be make or break with it, but don’t worry, this is a good thing as it clears space for something more authentic and more in alignment with who you now are.
As it’s a New Moon, it brings us a clean sheet, a new start. In Leo we get a better understanding of who we are, what we want from life, and what we will no longer put up with. It’s a time to follow your heart – not your head. An opportunity could present that will bring a turning point in your life and/or personal journey, and it’s all good. Fear may wobble up, but in your heart, you will know that this is right, so go for it.
Don’t forget that Leo can be a bit of a drama queen. Avoid getting dragged into any dramas
if you can, you need your energy for taking an important next step. Don’t let your energy be influenced or distracted by low level cr*p.
Visual for this New Moon
The image I kept seeing is of a butterfly emerging from its cocoon. The butterfly has been in the cocoon for too long because of the fear of change, of emerging. But now the urge to break out of the cocoon becomes irresistible.
It’s time beautiful Butterfly, to spread your wings and show the world your colours.

Other planetary influences:
Venus (planet of Love and Abundance) is still retrograde until the beginning of September, so relationships and partnerships still undergoing transformation and don’t overspend!
Mercury (planet of communication) goes retrograde on the 23rd and the shadow phase has started, which is why some tech has been glitchy already, and do think before hitting send on anything as communication can descend into gobbledegook and be misunderstood.
In TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) August is the month when Autumn starts, and those of you in the northern hemisphere may have already noticed the mornings and evenings have begun to feel autumnal.
Healthwise, pay attention to cool breezes and protect your neck and chest with a light scarf (to avoid colds at this time of year), these cool breezes are deceptive as when the Sun is out it can be quite hot.
Avoid dampness that leads to chills – Autumn is associated with the lungs. Strengthen the spleen and get your digestive system ready for Autumn by eating light foods with lots of veggies and less meat.
KEYS TO THIS TRANSIT:
Make time to sit and think about what you want, write it all down.
Make time for fun, family, creativity and play.
Pay attention to the signals your body gives you, trust your heart more than your head.
Eat well, drink plenty of water, sleep well – and write down your dreams.
Be open and willing when a new direction/opportunity comes calling for you.
Do something your inner child will enjoy.
New Moon Blessings y’all!
Elly
